During my time going for the goals I've set up for myself, I'm doing well with the progress. While at the Robotics competition, for one of my jobs there I scouted other robots/teams to see who we should team up with for an alliance. Writing the information of each bot was fast and had to be neat to read. This helped with my writing skills of neatness and how fast I can write. Those small things you do like scouting can come to help you later on in class and your future career, and that is why I guess we do these small things.
I do wonder about a few things however while in St. Louis. One thing is what do the other countries do for the teams that qualify for worlds like we did. Another thing was that I wonder how many different ideas for the same problem a.k.a. the various bots there were that I didn't get to see. After seeing how the competition was arranged ahead of time, how were the fields set up, and how did FIRST manage to rent out the entire football stadium.
One thing that I learned through my experience was a hydrogen cell. With this "cell" you can take water and split it back to hydrogen and oxygen or the opposite. When this happens it turns the energy released from the combining of the atoms and then creates an electrical current that powers a mechanical component. The "cell" can also be modified to work for gasoline and methane for greater effects. with the gasoline "cell" you can drive four times as far with a tank of gas. The "cell" is also clean for the environment causing no pollution at all. It's just amazing. That's all that really happened over the week making this the end.
