It's been about two weeks now and I'm back
to this blog to tell you about the past events this week. During my educational
journey throughout this week I have learned something new in each corner of
this dark alley called the week of 5/11/14. One of the few things I have
learned in the endless research for the “Xanadu” I call knowledge (Xanadu was a
play from our school, Xanadu is the greatest gift from legend that takes no
known form), is that to be able to bend certain metals you have to heat them up
until they're a dull red and then dip them into an acid to soften up the metal
for the ability to manipulate the form into the form of your own choosing. I
experienced this first hand in my 3D art class I take in my local public high
school. In this art class we learn how to make 3D pieces of art, while learned
ways to make one form into a form that one could call art. At the moment
however, we're taking metals and forming them into jewelry that we can wear. It
was during this progress where I learned how this processed worked to be able
to bend my piece of Nickel Sliver into the shape or curve of my wrist for the
bracelet I am making. The project is still being worked on though hopefully be
done soon.
This
was used in my art project to add the design I wanted by cutting the chain and
soldering it onto the piece of nickel silver, other pieces were grinned in half
to make that side of the chain flat. Putting them together on the band of metal
will create a linked chain design. I got this at Home Depot, but you can get
this at any store that sells hardware and home improvements. Well on my goal
I've been slacking a bit due to track but, I have been writing faster and
neater for my notes by practicing my writing at home. That's it for this post,
maybe next week I'll get better at this.
Cole, you need to use a new font! This is too difficult to read.
